Day Eighty-one, March 23rd
All right, this is way too much fun. Try Liquib a downloadable graphics program. Here are a few examples. This could become a real addiction.
From a picture of autumn leaves.
from a picture of the crowd at an amusement park.
From a picture of multi-colored yarn.

Day Eighty, March 22nd
Thursday night I went to a class at Paper Source in Cambridge on Polaroid Transfers and Emulsion lifts. It was a lot of fun, although the lifts are a bit fiddly. Here are the two of the better ones.

Day Seventy-two, March 13th
Was busy at work all day, washing out dyed cloth that was in such delectable colors. I am basically done with my 2 quilting projects, a few last minute details and they can be sent off tomorrow. Then I can play with real art stuff for awhile!
I did this digital collage in the afternoon It was gray and rainy outside and I needed a bit of spring.

Day Sixty-six, March 7th
As I was gone most of the day and evening, I did a digital collage when I got home and finished it this morning. I used a tintype of a little girl who seems very unhappy. I put her in a dreamy setting to cheer her up.

Day Sixty-four, March 5th
Today I worked on homework for my design class. This 2 week period is about texture. Most of the lessons had you rub, print and draw textures. This picture shows multiple rubbings that form a non-representational design.
This exercise was to take printed text and collage a non-representational design.
This exercise asked you to create texture from letters, which I did on the computer.

One the last exercises in the texture chapter: take a black and white photo, cut it up and put it back together, differently, to form a texture.

Tomorrow is Open Studios again at Lowell Fiber Studio in Lowell, MA. We are open from 12:00 - 5:00pm. Please drop by and see us if you are in the area.

Day Sixty-one, March 2nd
Today was sort of a blue day and I couldn't seem to wake up this morning. It's gray and feels like snow, but thankfully it's only supposed to be a dusting. Here is a digital collage I created.
